April Fools’ Day (April 1st) is fast approaching and everyone’s busy looking for crazy ideas for this fun day.
It’s unclear exactly where the April Fool tradition originated, but
some people are more than happy to have the opportunity to play personal
pranks on their friends, family members or coworkers. Similar precursor
holidays can be found in Rome (the Festival of Hilaria on March 25th)
and the medieval Feast of Fools in December. Some also believe that the
holiday stems from Pope Gregory XIII’s decision to restore January 1st
as New Year’s day on the Gregorian calendar – the Julian calendar that
it replaced celebrated New Year’s day on April 1st.
The following are just pranks not intended to hurt anyone, so be sure that in performing such joke, do it with precautions.
#1. Blow Your Horn
Tape an air horn beneath the swivel chair of your victims. Watch hear
them scream once they hear a mind blowing sound upon taking a seat.
#2. Colorful Breakfast
Start with your victim’s cereal box. Remove the cereal to a clean
container and replace the cereal with beads. Add about a cup of the
cereal on top of the beads in the box to camouflage your prank just in
case your target looks into the box before pouring. Now add food
coloring to the milk. It’s best if your milk carton or jug is opaque so
they don’t expect green milk until it’s pouring into their glass or
bowl.
#3. Blue Water
Turn the kitchen sink into a blue lagoon with nontoxic dye pellets,
designed to tint children’s bathwater. When the water is turned on, the
burst of color will be short-lived yet shocking.
#4. Shrunken Breakfast
Surprise your family with a miniature meal: a sunny-side-up quail egg on top of a piece of cocktail bread.
#5. Caramel Onions
Delight your victim’s taste with these caramel onions. Peel off the
skin and cut the ends of the onions, put wooden craft sticks into the
onions, roll the onions into the caramel (use rubber spatula to spread
the caramel and cover the entire onion surface). Let them cool in the
refrigerator before serving.
#6. Infested Ice Cubes
Pop some plastic ice cubes (the ones with toy flies or ants inside)
into your guests’ drinks, and watch their expressions go from thirst to
horror.
#7. Keyboard Garden

#8. Morning Mix-Up
Replacing sugar with salt and placing them in your victim’s sugar bowl is a great way to start his/her April Fools’ Day.
#9. Office Upgrade
Give your victim an office technology upgrade with these recycled materials. Surely, he or she will thank you for doing so.
#10. Dead Line
Tape down the phone button so the person who picks up the receiver will think the line is dead.
#11. Shower Surprise
Wrap a rubber band around the kitchen sink sprayer so whoever turns on the faucet gets a big, wet surprise.
#12. Toothpaste Oreo
Give your victim’s Oreo a minty fresh taste (make sure the toothpaste
is edible). Replace vanilla fillings of Oreo with toothpaste.
Share these ideas but be sure you will not be a victim of these pranks.
